CREATE A PROJECT PLAN

Provide a timeline within your presentation to show executives that you have a clear plan for success.

What to include:

  1. Start with the end date or launch date- then work your way backward to the start date. This will let you know how much time you have from start to finish.

  2. List the major milestones: the milestone should be the major steps that you will need to achieve in order to launch your idea. Each
    1. examples
      1. Identify Benchmarks
      2. Create list of target accounts
      3. Confirm Venues
      4. Create a website
      5. Identify charities
      6. Launch Program
      7. Conduct Midway-Program review
      8. Program Recap & review

  3. Task List: under each milestone, create a list of subtasks that needs to be achieved to achieve that milestone. i.e.
    1. Milestone: Create list of target accounts
      1. Create a criteria for the account type
      2. Decide on what information is needed from each account
      3. Reach out to each BA from each market to identify accounts
      4. Organize accounts by market

  4. Time Estimate:
    1. With each action, estimate how long it will take and the steps needed to achieve it.
    2. Place each action into a timeline based on the allotted time provided.

Examples


    1. Week 1 March 1st- 5th
      1. Task 1: Create the criteria for accounts
      2. Task 2: Send criteria and request to the BA's etc.
