DEFINE YOUR OBJECTIVES, GOALS & PLANS
DEFINE YOUR OBJECTIVE
When you present a new idea, the audience needs to know your ultimate goal, what objectives you will achieve to get there, and how you will measure your progress. These metrics should be set at the planning stage.
OBJECTIVE VS GOAL: IS THERE A DIFFERENCE?
Some will argue that there is a difference but most marketers use these terms interchangeably. A goal is an achievable outcome that is generally broad and longer term while an objective is shorter term and defines measurable actions to achieve an overall goal. While different, the two terms are often used in unison when working on a project.
GOALS
The term Goal is generally used to describe the ultimate result that a business hopes to achieve in the far future.
EXAMPLE OF A GOAL: ( some brands might also call it their vision)

Goals Should be S.M.A.R.T:
- S for specific. A goal should be linked to one activity, thought, or idea.
- M for measurable. A goal should be something you can track and measure progress toward.
- A for actionable. There should be straightforward tasks or actions you can take to make progress toward a goal.
- R for realistic. Make sure it is obtainable with the resources provided.
- T for timely. Give it a specific timeframe to be achieved.
OBJECTIVES
The word Objectives is generally used when describing a specific action or step that I plan to take to help achieve a goal.
EXAMPLE OF AN OBJECTIVE:

PLAN
A plan of action that outlines how each individual or team will work toward a clearly defined objective . The objective is what will be done, while the plan is how it will be done.
